Dear AA Families,
This past week was very busy at Andrews Academy. On Friday, the students participated in several activities including our international assembly, ice skating, and class vespers. For this reason, we deemed it best to send the E-Sanjo today. Thank you for your understanding.
We give God thanks for the opportunity to participate in these social gatherings. COVID-19 has robbed us of many opportunities to engage socially. We recognize that COVID may be around for a while, and we must learn to function safely and regain normalcy. Andrews Academy continues to monitor the effects of COVID on school environment and our community. This past week we had zero cases of COVID-19 reported. To God be the glory!
Please mark your calendar for our upcoming Parent Meeting on Tuesday, March 1, at 6:30 PM. We will discuss the future of Andrews Academy as it relates to COVID-19 and other important subjects.
James 1:2-4:
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Whatever test we face, let's remain faithful knowing we serve a faithful God.

International Assembly
The International assembly was held on Friday, February. 11, 2022. This presentation was part of the International Appreciation Week held at Andrews Academy. The week was scheduled in the fall, but because of COVID, the assembly was postponed until now.
International Appreciation Week is an opportunity for each student and faculty to learn more about the many cultures here at Andrews Academy. Each day we had a guest speaker present insights from their culture or discuss spiritual insights learned from their culture or international experience. This past Friday morning, we had an International Assembly and a Food Tasting. We truly celebrated the cultural diversity that the Andrews Academy Family enjoys each day.

Chapels This Week
Wednesday’s chapel began with a history nugget about Cheslie Kryst. A former attorney and Miss USA, Cheslie inspired many young women to do what they think is impossible. In honor of Black History Month, Zothile Sibanda read a poem she wrote before the speaker came on stage.
Our speaker was Pastor White, and his topic for the day was The Dangers of Self-Mutilation. Self-mutilation is the act of harming one's body because of some type of mental stress. Some people think this pain is acceptable. However, Pastor White reminded us that each part of the body of Christ is necessary. Pastor White compared self-mutilation to racism. When someone is racist, it hurts the body of Christ. The Bible says, "if one part suffers, every part suffers with it."
To close, Pastor White challenged us to do these three things:
- Publicly proclaim there is a problem.
- Try to heal.
- Make changes that stop pain and suffering.
Thursday’s chapel was Class Devotions. Periodically, the class pastors organize a worship for their class. It is also a time for the class to talk about class activities, such as fundraisers, and in this case, Friday's ice skating and class vespers.
Friday’s chapel was part of International Assembly. The scripture reading was read in five different languages. “See what great love the Father has for us that He would call us His children.” I John 3:1 The prayer was spoken in Russian by AA junior, Anna Rybachek.
