Happy TWOs Day!

Earth science class celebrated "TWOs day" today by eating 22 M&Ms. On 2/22/22 at 2/22/22 PM, we enjoyed 22 M&Ms! They spontaneously started singing "Happy TWOs day to you." You will notice the second hand is right on the 22...perfect timing for the picture.

Black History Week of Chapels

Today marked the start of Black History Week in the midst of Black History Month. A group of students led out in singing two songs. Our speaker for the week is Mr. Edward Woods, father of two AA students, Megan and Michael

The focus of Tuesday was social justice in Jesus’ ministry. First, Mr. Woods defined social justice: the divine mandate to make right your relationship with God, others, and the natural world. During his ministry, Jesus focused on inclusion, not exclusion. Jesus respected women in public settings and treated them as equals, which was revolutionary for that day. Jesus included the outcasts and made them feel welcome. Mr. Woods pointed out that we tend to focus on appearances rather than what’s on the inside. To close, Mr. Woods asked what form of fulfilling justice is more important: helping the wounded heal, or working to prevent their being wounded?
