Thank You, Silhouettes
We wish to thank the Silhouettes for giving of your time this past Sunday to sing at the memorial service for Mr. James McKee. He spent most of his professional career here at Andrews Academy, teaching the upper division math and physics classes from 1973 - 1995. It meant a lot to the family and his former students that were at the funeral and online from throughout North America for you to sing at this service. You represented Andrews Academy well as you sang for his service. Thank you.
Mr. Cleon White (second picture) presented the Life Sketch for Mr. James McKee. Mr. White taught chemistry and algebra at AA for many years and became vice-principal and then principal.
According to Mr. Atkins, the teaching experience of these two math and science teachers impacted his teaching in a significant way when he arrived at AA as the “new kid on the block."
He listened to their advice and watched how they taught and interacted with students and participated in the school programs. He thanks both of these individuals for the influence they had on his own teaching career and the thousands of students they taught while serving at Andrews Academy.

Community Service Day
This Thursday, April 6
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
(half day - no lunch, snacks provided)
Seniors will be practicing for Seniors' Night Live and doing community service until 3:15 PM.
Our AA Community Service Day is scheduled for this Thursday, April 6. As part of Andrews Academy's educational program, we participate in service to others.
As a school we feel that it is important for students to learn to serve our community. We devote a day to practicing this concept with the students, as well as having various smaller projects throughout the year.
Please plan to arrive for Week of Prayer devotions at 8:00 AM. Activities for the day include yard work, picking up trash, cleaning windows, etc. A reminder to wear closed toe shoes and long pants (no shorts!) for protection as you work. Please bring work gloves. You do not need to wear your AA uniform; however, if you have an AA t-shirt, please represent our school. If you wear a hoodie, it should be appropriate. Our dismissal time will be by 12:00 noon.

Governor's Recognition of AA's Adopt-A-Highway
A big thank you to Andrews Academy’s students and faculty who have helped clean the on and off ramps (Exit 15) of M-139. At Andrews Academy, we try to foster service in our co-curricular program. This is one of the more visible things students do to help serve our community. As you exit M-139 to enter Berrien Springs, please look for our “Adopt-A-Highway” sign! This photo was taken in the fall of 2022 during one of our cleanup sessions.

AA Uniforms Available from Lands' End
We have renewed our relationship with Lands’ End for uniform needs. More selections for uniforms are now included, such as a button-down shirt, a long-sleeved polo, and a sweater. Click on the option(s) that you would like, then choose the size (kid or adult). Please be mindful that Andrews Academy is not responsible for your orders.
We are working on other jacket options.
Please review the Sourcebook (pgs 79-81) for more information regarding uniforms. Only approved logoed uniform wear is allowed. A solid-color, long sleeved undershirt may be worn under the AA short-sleeved polo (no writing should be visible on the undershirt). If a student is wearing an AA logoed jacket, they should also have an AA logoed shirt underneath.
If you need PE uniform items, please see Pastor Ferguson at lunch time or after school (cash only).

Opting into Texting for One Call Now
Andrews Academy utilizes One Call Now, an automated messaging service, to contact students and parents about school cancellations, upcoming events, and performances, etc.
Please make sure that we have the phone number that you would like to have contacted. We also send an email, put the announcement on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and alert local TV stations (WSBT, WNDU, ABC57).
To receive a text notification instead of a call (text works best), please text “ALERT” to 22300. Please make sure that you have given us the number that you would like to be texted on as well. Email ginam@andrews.edu with any changes. Thank you!
