Honoring Sharon Russell During Alumni Weekend
We are looking forward to seeing many of you in less than two weeks at Andrews Academy's Alumni Weekend (October 20-21, 2023)!
During the weekend services, we will roll out a special non-endowed fund for worthy students in memory of Sharon Russell, home economics and health teacher from 1977-2003, that was spearheaded by the class of 2003. Please look for further details on the AA FB page as well as the AA alumni reunion web page over the next few weeks about how to get involved with this effort.
Additionally, we are planning a memorial walk on Sunday morning in honor of Sharon! Plan to join us in the Andrews Academy parking lot on Sunday, October 22, at 9 AM. We will gather, share memories, take a group photo, pray, and then walk a mile route on the Andrews University campus. If you have your old school AA t-shirts, feel free to wear them along with some comfortable walking shoes! Your hearts will thank you for this (one of Mrs. Russell's many treasured lines about exercise)!
