AA Music Tours to Florida
The annual Andrews Academy Band and Handbells Tour (March 16-22, 2022) departed Andrews Academy Wednesday afternoon before spring break. It was a cloudy afternoon, and students were eager to get out of town and enjoy some sunshine and warm temperatures of Florida. The Silhouettes and Orion Strings Tour (March 23-29, 2022) also traveled to the warm and sunny state of Florida for their tour.
While there, both groups enjoyed swimming in and relaxing along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, visiting the Kennedy Space Center to learn more about Earth Science, and visiting Busch Gardens. Mr. Wright and his physics students were surely calculating acceleration and forces involved in their rides!
We are thankful for the safety of their tours as they shared Jesus through music while on tour. They stayed at Forest Lake Academy, performing at various schools and churches in the greater Orlando area. Various individuals have shared with the school that they were blessed by the students' music and were impressed with the quality of music and student behavior. Thank you, music directors and students, for your many hours of practice as you prepared and then performed your music during tour.

If things are going well for your child in their class, please do not feel like you have to make an appointment with the teacher. If you would like to, you can make an appointment, but making an unnecessary appointment will result in fewer appointments available for those that really need to have a conference.

- Fill out the form (please use full parent and student names).
- Select a time for your conference.
- Click the “Add to Cart” button.
- Click the “View Cart” button to view your scheduled time.
- Click the “Submit Order” button to save your appointment.
These steps MUST be done for EACH appointment.
In your confirmation email, you will receive the teacher’s Zoom information.
If you need additional help to schedule via mobile device or PC/Mac, please click on a video tutorial link below.

We encourage students to attend these conferences with their parent.
Please note that only full-time teachers are listed. Contract and college/dual enrollment class teachers aren't listed. If you have a desire to conference with a contract teacher, the office will be able to provide you with contact information. College teachers must be reached through the University. Music teachers are listed when available as they teach for RMES as well.
If spots are filled or there is not a time slot that is workable for you, please feel free to email the teachers through the FACTS portal and schedule an appointment that works for both of you.
We look forward to meeting with you.

Junior Class Fundraiser Meeting
Tomorrow, 12:00 PM
All juniors are to meet in the chapel at noon on Wednesday (tomorrow) to make sure everyone knows what they need to do in preparation for JNL. It should be a relatively short meeting for most students. From that meeting, we will divide into the various groups that you have signed up for to help out for JNL. Those rehearsing the skits will want to plan on a fair amount of time to memorize your lines and go through the skits several times. Thank you all in advance for being present at this meeting so we can know what each of us needs to do.

Thank You, Mr. Steeves and Custodial Crew
While each of us were enjoying our spring break, Mr. Steeves and some of his custodial crew spent a good portion of the week doing additional cleaning of the floors, including scrubbing and re-waxing, and doing other various projects. The floors are usually re-waxed during the summer and Christmas break. However, with the school accreditation team visiting in a few weeks, the extra cleaning and completion of a few projects were focused on during spring break. Thank you, Mr. Steeves and custodial crew, for your additional efforts this spring break!

NHS Induction Article in Journal Era Newspaper
There is an article about NHS induction in the March 23, 2022, edition of the local newspaper, Journal Era, on pg. 31. Since this paper came out during spring break, we are just reporting on it now.
New NHS members...you may want to purchase a souvenir copy. You may not be able to purchase them at newsstands. You can go to their office in downtown Berrien Springs on Ferry Street. They usually have extra copies of recent newspapers there.

Chapels this Week
On Monday, Pastor Judith Peterson, mother of senior Gianna Williams, presented chapel entitled Becoming Unstuck and Unstoppable - Fighting the Good Fight. As stated in Hebrews 11:6, she said that faith is what is at the core! Head matters are the heart of the matter; it’s so important to live a life of forgiveness. She then shared ten important principles of forgiveness, as well as a number of thinking errors that we too often resort to in our daily life. We need to live by our core beliefs that often get established by 4-8 years of age. She concluded her presentation by sharing Isaiah 7:9: “If you don’t stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all” (you will fall for anything). She encouraged each of to stay firm in our core beliefs.
Today (Tuesday), Pastor Lindsey Pratt, PMC youth pastor, told a story of traveling through the mountains of Colorado. She was to speak at a church there and needed to travel a windy, narrow road through the mountains with a drop of 1,500 feet down to a ravine below, all with no cell phone coverage. She was borrowing Pastor Johnson’s car to get to her speaking engagement when suddenly smoke started pouring out the engine, there was a clunk, and the car died. She pulled over to the side of the road, that did not have any shoulder to pull over on, got out of the car quickly, and began to pray. Eventually a ranger found her and brought her to someone who could help.
